HAMDEN >> A 62-year-old West Haven man who collapsed and died of an apparent heart attack Sunday while hiking at Sleeping Giant State Park has been identified.

The state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection identified the man Monday as Edward Tibor.

DEEP spokesman Dennis Schain had previously said the man was pronounced dead at the scene about 3:30 p.m, when Hamden emergency crews and state police responded to the park. Schain said the investigation will continue.
